Holly Davey is an artist based in Cardiff. In this interview, she talks about her commission as part of the inaugural Ffoto Cymru: Wales International Festival of Photography, delivered by Ffotogallery. Davey responded to Richard Wilson’s Dolbadarn Castle (1760-65) to create a new photographic work. Beneath the painting, hidden for over three hundred years, a portrait of Miss Jenkins? remained unknown until a series of x-rays revealed its secret.
