Over a period of ten years, in close collaboration with young people across the South Wales Valleys, Clémentine Schneidermann and Charlotte James have created a vast body of work for their project It’s Called Ffasiwn. Working under their studio name Bleak Fabulous, they have produced photographs that brings documentary photography together with elements of fashion, performance, landscapes and portraits, resulting in images have a surreal and unexpected twist.

In a new exhibition that celebrates creativity, grit and community, Ffasiwn gives a voice to people, places and self-expression.
