My House in Wales
© Harry Weinberger/Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales
The sky is ablaze with colour. Is the sun rising or setting behind the hills? The colours bounce off the smoking chimneys and the window gables, creating bright geometric patterns – triangles and squares and dashes. Harry Weinberger was originally from Germany, but came to Wales for a tool-making apprenticeship. After serving in the second world war, he said he wanted to be left in peace and quiet to paint.
