Welsh collier
WALTERS, Evan
© Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales
This is one of two portraits by Walters of the collier Thomas Rees (the other being accession No: NMW A 2149) who originally came from Llangyfelach. He was a distant cousin of Evan Walters and the scar which is visible on his face was the result of a pit accident.
