The print ‘For the Unknown Runner’ by Chris Ofili was commissioned by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games to commemorate the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Ofili is perhaps most famous for his paintings which use collage, glitter, map pins and elephant dung as materials. His work also draws on high art and popular culture, the political and the personal as well as Black culture and anti-racism. Ofili was born in Manchester, England in 1968, and currently lives and works in Trinidad.
