Soup plate, white earthenware, inset base with deep well and broad, slightly upward sloping flange; the flange is moulded with a large, single, sweeping oval that forms a slight step between the inner and outer areas of the flange, the surface is decorated with the 'Confetti' glaze treatment, which is a clear glaze with uneven specks of pastel colours, including green, blue, orange, purple and pink.
