A standing vessel form, mottled stoneware type clay, footring, high foot with shallow carved concentric rings, tapering inwards towards oval body with a vertical fold in each longer side. Creamy/buff slip flecked with brown over a black body, the black body showing through in mottling increasing towards the rim, black rim and black slightly lustrous interior.
