Relief of cut pieces of wood glued to reverse of hardboard and painted. Depicts an abstracted face and bird (dove). In a Miro-esque style. Also stones and wooden sticks glued to surface and painted. The entire relief has been varnished.

Born in Yorkshire, John Selway has lived in Wales for 65 years, where he has taught at Newport and Carmarthen colleges. One of the countrys finest painters, he is currently working on Another Eden, a series of responses to the poetry of Dylan Thomas. He lives in Abertillary.
