USA. ARIZONA. Quartzsite.  Quartzsite is a small town, population 2000, in Southwestern Arizona desert.  From October thru March the population increases to near the million mark.  The new visitors are called the 'Snowbirds' coming from the cold north in their RVs.  Parking in the desert costs just $50 for the whole season. This picture shows the start of the arrivals. 1997.
