The Bertorelli family ran an ice cream parlour in Caernarfon when Griffith was a child. He purchased the framed double portrait at a sale of the family’s effects years later, reworking it into this piece. Griffith’s practice is rich, eclectic, and with a unique visual language rooted in personal experiences and memories.
