Slop bowl, greyish blue hard-paste porcelain, heavily potted with almost no translucency, the sides swelling from a plain foot rim; the exterior decorated with an underglaze blue ground reserved with red and yellow peonies amid realistically painted scrolling foliage, edged with gilding, and with gilt sprays, two gilt lines at the foot and one at the lip; the interior is decorated in gilt with a central garter star within a circle of husks and with a second band of husks below the gilt lip.
