Figure of a bull, creamware body with yellowish glaze, which has been wiped from the underside of each foot, the bull has been modelled in a stylised manner and stands on four squat legs, with raised tail and lowered head; the body of the figure is covered extensively with an under-glaze transfer-printed decoration in the 'Avon' pattern, which comprises floral and leaf motifs, some floral sprigs are in the original dark gray of the transfer-print, but most are overpainted by hand in lilac, pink, yellow, green and light-brown enamels, gilded details have been added to the head, horns, feet and tail.
