Blaenau Ffestiniog, Abandoned Quarry
JOYCE, Paul
©Paul Joyce/Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales
Between 1976 and 1979 the photographer Paul Joyce made several visits to Wales, resulting in a collection of black and white prints showing different landscapes from across the country. This photograph shows the slate landscape of Blaenau Ffestiniog, but what story does it tell us of the slate industry in the 1970s?
