Dinner plate, white earthenware, circular, press-moulded with an inset base, cushion-moulded profile and plain rim; printed around the well in polychrome colours with four vignettes comprising two different jiving couples to the upper right and lower left, and a repeated vignette of a pianist and saxophonist to the upper left and lower right, each vignette printed in a pallete of grey, red, yellow, pink and black, with hatched yellow and grey lines forming part of the background to each image, the rim painted with a simple band in red.
