Coffee cup and saucer, Midwinter 'Fashion' shape, earthenware, the cup of a conical form with square, inset base, gently rounded sides and plain rim with angular loop handle, the saucer is square with rounded corners and edges, a low foot ring and gently curving sides with no discernible rim, square well; the exterior of the cup with a mink brown glaze, the saucer transfer-printed with the 'Oranges and Lemons' pattern in orange, grey, dark brown and shades of green, comprising, to the left of the well, a naturalistic rendition of two oranges beneath two lemons, both fruits on the vine, to the right of the well are two small groups of leaves.
