Circular tureen and cover, cream-coloured earthenware, concave base, curved sides, a lip inside the rim, shallow domed cover with flat disc knop; a painted spiral pattern in underglaze brown covering the inside of the tureen and around the knop of the cover, an undecorated band round the edge of the cover between two brown lines, a single brown line round the outside of the tureen below the rim.
