MEDNIKOFF, Reuben
© Reuben Mednikoff/Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales
Reuben Mednikoff, together with his partner Grace Pailthorpe, researched the connection between art and psychology.
They believed that mark-making, shape and colour all had meaning pulled from the subconscious mind
In this work the artist allows the ink to bleed naturally into the watercolour wash background, where acid greens and purples make the Welsh landscape feel dream-like and strange.
