Swansea pot pourri vase and cover, soft paste 'duck egg' porcelain, green translucency and lustrous glaze with a slight green tinge. Urn shaped moulded form; band of moulded acanthus leaves below beading on spreading foot and around wide flared rim, lower part of body moulded with gadroons. Spindle handles terminating in flower heads; shallow conical cover, pierced with ovals, and with beading below a bud shaped finial. Frieze of naturalistically painted growing garden flowers around body of urn, and on lid. Part gilding of acanthus leaves, gadrooning, and finial; gilt banding on foot and cover.
