Sketchbook
Sketchbook may have been 'homemade'. Board of covers is covered with hand stencilled or painted (with ink/watercolour) paper with a black pattern. The spine is secured with a piece of loose knit hessian style fabric and the whole construction is also held together with three lengths of pink fabric 'tape', each secured to the cover with a read adhesive similar to sealing wax.
Sketches include: plant studies and a number of 'horned form' studies (possibly 1940s). Also some notes on colours of compositions.
