Jug, hybrid-porcelain with a dull greyish body and yellow-orange tinged translucency; standing on a flared foot rim, rounded sides to shoulder, with a wide band of moulded spiralled flutes, cylindrical neck with beak spout, and scrolled handle with outer thumb spur; painted in polychrome enamels on both sides with sprays of naturalistically painted flowers including full-blown pink roses and yellow double stocks; initials, a ribbon inscribed 'STEIGENBERGER', and a crest in the form of an armoured arm holding a dagger, painted in brown enamel below the spout; gilt sprigs scattered on body and gilt sprays on the neck; plain gilt band above foot rim and to lip.
