Coffee pot and cover, white earthenware with clear glaze, probably Midwinter's 'Fashion' shape F30, the triangular-ovoid base is inset, rising to a body of the same overall shape, the neck flares at the front edge to form a streamline collar, the strap handle is of an oval cross-section, looping upwards from the neck and joining at the mid-body, the spout is slightly curved and integral to the body, rising upwards from the mid-body, the cover is a rounded triangular form, with an integral, semi-circular knop ('grip handle') and steam hole; transfer printed on both sides of the body with the 'Quite Contrary' pattern, comprising exploding stars in black, pink, grey and turquoise, the cover has a turquoise glaze.
