Clavering Church

CLAUSEN, George
Clavering Church
Image: By permission of Amgueddfa Cymru — Museum Wales
 Zoom

Clausen was elected a full Royal Academician in 1908. This conventional landscape, without the artist's usual complement of country folk, probably dates from the following year. Clavering is a village in Essex, not far from the artist's old home at Widdington.
