Welsh-Ghanian artist Paintsil reclaims her Welsh identity in this work by depicting herself as Blodeuwedd from The Mabinogion.
As well as wool, Paintsil uses human hair woven into her textiles. She combines traditional latch hook rug making with afro hair-styling techniques to produce unique textiles.
