Fol 1, ink: 51 working drawings for wood carvings/ on shutters in (sic) Cardiff Castle/ executed by Thomas John senr from/ designs by William Burges (a.R.a ) about the year 1874/ (Thomas John senr, farther of Sir W. Goscombe John R.A) died in 1893.

Fol 2, pencil: carved quatrefoils/ on shutters in small dining room/ Cardiff Castle.

Fol 37, verso, pencil: Paintings by various artists (principally by Fred Weekes)/ in Clock Tower, Cardiff Castle.

Fol 38: from paintings in the Clock Tower, Cardiff Castle.

Fol 45,ink: Mr Thomas Nicholls made the models in particully/ (of London), the whole of the sculpture at Cardiff Castle. Pencil: carved stone capitals in chapel/ (and other places) Cardiff Castle. By Thomas Nicholls, Sculptor.
