Curtain, white cotton with curtain tape attached to top edge; screen printed with the 'Ticker Tape' design by Lucienne Day, white ground with uneven areas of yellow mottling, with yellow stripes of varying width along the vertical length, these either undecorated or patterned with small black blocks, black dots, black 'hourglasses' or black vertical bars, an additional stripe is formed by black blocks on the white ground, each containing a white 'hourglass' motif, inscribed along the selvedge.
