Cup, coffee and saucer

Coffee cup and saucer, white earthenware body with a matt black glaze, 'Cylinder' shape, the cup with a cylindrical body, the top of the handle is square and level with the rim, gently curving downards and attached to the lower third of the body, plain rim, the saucer with foot ring and and sharply upturned sides; both sides of the body printed on the glaze in gold with the image of an elaborate, freeform phoenix.
