The Little Interior

JOHN, Gwen
The Little Interior

  Zoom / More Images (4)

This little picture is one of about twenty oil paintings Gwen John showed at the Chenil Gallery, London, in the summer of 1926. This exhibition, arranged for her by her brother Augustus, was a critical and financial success. The setting is the artist's home at 29 rue Terre Neuve, Meudon, and the table and teapot often appear in other paintings.
