Milk jug, white earthenware body with a matt black glaze, 'Cylinder' shape, with inset base, tall cylindrical body, the spout level with rim, the top of the handle is square and level with the rim, gently curving downards and attached to the lower third of the body; one side of the body printed on the glaze in gold with the image of an elaborate, freeform phoenix.
