Vase, white terracotta, mallet-shaped with flat slightly inset base, the tall body swelling at the shoulder and tapering in to the neck, flat out-turned rim; painted in dark indigo blue in wax-resist on one side with a face depicted in angular lines wearing a laurel wreath and possibly bearded, on the other side a crudely drawn standing figure with outspread arms and possibly a tail, vertical lines around the neck, indigo blue speckling throughout the glaze.
