Landscape with Hills and Flowers

CRABTREE, Jack

© Jack Crabtree/Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales
×

This painting was first shown at National Museum Cardiff in 1971 as part of the touring exhibition ‘Art Spectrum Wales’. From that exhibition, the work was purchased by the family of Lyn Illtyd Davies Llewellyn (1922-2012). Llewellyn was Chief Civil Engineer for the National Coal Board and, in the aftermath of Aberfan disaster, he was tasked with ensuring the safety of tips across south Wales.
